Epiphany in Bad Teeth and Body Odor

There was a time when I was petrified of sleeping. I was convinced that people will forget me while I'm dozing. I walked around the city, traded tales with bums just so that I'd know that I'm still here in the dumps. It was surreal. It was so real.

Once, it only takes a small, clean cut to convince my brain that it's still running. That time it failed, I was impervious, there wasn't any pain, it was damning. On my skin, intricate designs were carved, and for more, I starved.

It was a messy affair. Ashamed that I didn't handle it with flair. That's when I knew I went too far, that I have to do more, dig deeper - I wanted stars.
