And so she trudged back to the place she lived, to a place she used to call home. As she reached the door, she hesitated, inhaled deeply and opened the door. She did not immediately walk in and just looked around. How empty it is now that he left her, walked out of her life for good, forever. She walked in, the love seat greeted her and she could see the two of them, laughing, so happy. She looked away. She headed for the kitchen, towards the fridge and got herself a glass of water. As she leaned back on the fridge, her eyes on the counter, she could see them eating together, feeding each other playfully. She sighed. How happy they were before.

Her mind wandered and she did not realize she was gripping the glass tightly, clutching it to her chest. Slowly, the tears started to fall; silently down her lovely cheeks. Her body sagged and soon, she found herself slowly sinking onto the floor, crying, weeping. She banged her head on the fridge, and even tore her hair. But how can physical pain amount to the emotional torture she is suffering at the moment? It will never add up, it will never be the same. Her heart was torn, shredded and cut to pieces. It can never be sewn back together. She clawed at her chest, hoping to stop her heart from feeling so much pain, stop it from feeling.

Minutes and maybe hours passed, her eyes slowly opened. She fell asleep on the floor; tears stained her cheeks and matted her hair. She sat up and stared blankly at the space before her. Through the corner of her eyes, she saw the bathroom door. Her head turned lazily and her whole body followed suit. She stood up and carefully walked toward the direction of the bathroom.
