Aside from writing erotic stories, heart-warming stories, poems, blogs, and essays; I also wrote a couple of fairy tales.
And this is the only one that I have left with me.

The Girl and the Coal

There once was a very beautiful girl who lived in a small town.

All unmarried men adore her and dream of having her as wife.
So when the time came that she's ready to get married, all of those aspiring men came to her house to ask for her hand.

But because she couldn't decide on whom to choose, she gave them a challenge. She asked for the best gift that they could offer.

All the men hurried and tried to get the best gift that they could afford.

The farmer's son offered her their best harvest for that season.
The fisherman's son offered their biggest catch.
The lumber's son gave her an elegant chair made from their most expensive wood.
The tailor's son showed her a beautiful dress.

And all other men offered the best things that they could find.

But she rejected them all.

Until there were only two men left.

The merchant's son and the coal miner's son.

The merchant was the richest in that town.
They're always dressed in pretty clothes and lived in the largest house.

The coal miner on the other hand, was the poorest. Always wearing tattered clothes. Always covered with dirt and black coal dust.
They live in a shack near a cave where they dig for coals to sell.

The coal miner's son presented his gift.
It was wrapped in a white handkerchief. Probably the only clean piece of cloth that they own.

He gave it to the girl.
The girl was hesitant at first to take it, but did anyway just to get it over with.

She unwrapped the gift.
And when she saw what's inside, looked at the coal miner's son and gave him a sarcartic smile.

"I would have appreciated your gift if it was at least a sack full. But just this piece, it's useless." Then she tossed it to the ground.

And everyone present there looked at his gift that is now lying on the floor.
It was a piece of rough black rock about a fist big.
Definitely a coal.

Everyone started laughing and making japes about the coal miner's son and his gift.

The coal miner's son, with his head bowed low just walked away.

Then one of the men kicked the rock outside and shouted, "Hey, take your treasure with you!".

But the miner's son did not even look back.

The laughter went loud again.

No one noticed a servant girl who picked up the rock and the handkerchief and put it in her pocket.

Then it was the merchant's son's turn.

He kneeled down, pulled a small box from his pocket and showed it to the girl.

When the young man opened it, the girl gasped and her eyes opened wide.

Then the man asked,
"Will you be my wife?"

"Of course!" The girl exclaimed.

Then the man pulled out a ring from the box, took the girl's hand, and slid it into her finger.

The girl raised her hand and everyone saw a ring with a bright sparkling diamond on it.

It was the girl's dream since she was little to own a diamond ring.
It was the gift that she's really expecting.
And this man made it come true.

They got married and lived together.
They were happy in their first years and were blessed with a couple of children.

But when the man's business turned bad, they started to argue.

They started selling their things one by one.
They even sold their house.

And when they had nothing more to sell, she decided to sell the ring.

So she went to the new jewelry outside of town that was built just about a year ago.
She was amazed by all the beautiful jewelries that she foun...

He could have given her a real diamond or something better kasi he can afford it.

At natutuwa ako pag may nakapansin nun at nagtanong sakin.
Kaya kung mapapansin mo, may mga gawa ako na kakaiba ang title at parang walang koneksyon sa story :)
