Love is a torment. You can fall in love with someone who captivates your spirit but destroys your mind. Bittersweet.

Love has the ability to make you feel intensely connected, invincible, validated, needed, and cared for. It can also make you feel alienated, alone, despondent, and ashamed. We have a natural desire for human connection. It ranks with our needs for oxygen, water, and food! We are social beings who seek the company, compassion, and warmth of others. It's not surprising that it has such a strong influence.

We have no control over who loves us, who we love, or how our lives will eventually unfold. That's both exciting and terrifying at times. We welcome it at times and oppose it with every fiber of our being at others. We want to be happy, to be safe, and to be secure. So, how do we deal with life and everything it throws at us?

This was not my first time falling in love, but it was the deepest I had ever felt. The frequency and intensity wi...

It was a truly wonderful day. It's one of those days when I'm reminded of how fortunate I am and grateful to be alive.

There were times when it felt like we were in a movie, the kind we only read about in books – and the kind I'd only ever write about in mine.

Unfortunately, we were unable to capture any of them.

We weren't able to capture it because it began to rain, and there was no shelter nearby, so we had no choice but to seek shelter under the big Talisay tree.

We couldn't capture it when we started swimming in the sea, which served as a warm blanket while it rained around us, the drops hitting the tops of our heads like a soft drum and our surroundings having turned into a filtered white blur.

We didn't get a chance to capture it because, shortly after the sun went down, we dashed towards the ocean, our laughter blended with the the sound of the waves crashing against the shore serving as our background music.

I'm not so good with words or constructing a good sentences (lol) so just bear with me.

Being ghosted is horrible.

To summarize the experience of getting ghosted in the most eloquent, articulate way possible: it sucks.

Ghosting never makes you feel like the entire, magnificent person you are, no matter how old you are, how experienced you are, how wealthy you are, or how many Instagram followers you have. Suddenly having all contact severed can trigger every insecurity you've ever had. Every single one of them.

I've also been ghosted.

I spent weeks speaking with this certain guy. It was never-ending. We talked almost every day. We talked and discussed private, emotionally charged details about our lives. I was overjoyed to see his name appear on my phone. Our text messages and phone calls were like lying under a blanket of stars, unveiling the depths of our souls (tang ina lang talaga eh ) It was brimming with possibility. So, des...
