How did you come up with your screen name?
My ex-boyfriend helped me with it. “Frey” was actually part of his name. It’s also quite catchy so I decided to stick with it. The name really stuck, especially with the Premiere Vixens tilt.
When did you start needing a screen name?
I started modeling in 2009 but it was only when my agent opened up the idea of joining the Premiere Vixens search that I decided to take the sexy route.
Does having a pretty face and a sexy body help or hinder you from finding your special someone?
Sometimes, it’s much harder to find a serious relationship when you have a nice physique. Some guys really like to play coy with their real intentions. Pero natuto na rin ako at alam ko na kung seryoso siya o hindi. It’s the way he treats you. Kapag yung guy, niyaya ako sa kung saansaan, like, “Punta tayo sa place ko,” alam ko na kaagad kung anong intention niya.
You have 18,000-plus fans on your Facebook page. Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola only have 12,000-plus. How do you manage that much followers?
Ha ha! I treat my Facebook followers as friends. I never call them fans but friends. I always tell them to approach me whenever they see me at my modeling gigs. Some of them are really sweet. Welcome back, G! What got you coming home?
A lot of people ask me that, but it’s actually my husband who convinced me to come home. I mean, we got married here. Prior to meeting me, he had been here twice. And he’s always loved the Philippines. It’s just really me [who wanted to stay there] because, for one, I wanted to raise our children there. We have two children, seven-year-old Sakura Anne Marie, and Kenobi Benjamin, who’s turning five.
Strange names.
Tim and I were on our honeymoon in Tokyo and the cherry blossoms were just coming out. Sabi ko, “Uy, ang ganda ng mga sakura.” Tapos sabi ng asawa ko, “Sakura.” Siyempre iba yung accent. Sabi ko, “Maganda yan!” So yun na. It was so beautiful and it was blooming and we had a very quick love affair, my husband and I. It just describes the beauty of something that blooms so fast. Which isn’t actually a metaphor for our love affair because we’re still together, seven years ongoing. As for Kenobi Benjamin, my husband is a collector of all things Star Wars and Obi-Wan’s his favorite Jedi. I said, “I like Kenobi! “So his nickname is Obi. We wanted to make sure that people didn’t call him Ken so we made his middle name Benjamin. And so Ben. Haha!
Okay, so the husband convinced you to come home. Offers didn’t come into play?

Feminine? Yung parang pa-tweetums na boses? Eh ganito naman talaga ako so bakit ko babaguhin, di ba? Although, siyempre, pag may mga party at ang kausap ko ay medyo to the highest level ang brains, tumatahimik naman ang lola mo kasi baka ma-get lost. Pero kaya ko naman sila. Kaya lang once binuksan ko na yung bibig ko dire-diretso na ko.
We were told that you used to do the sexy-but-safe kind of modeling. When did you start going bolder?
Sa Vixens lang. Ang shoots ko before naka-shorts, ni walang babaan ng bra strap. As in talagang super smile lang. Probinsiyana kasi ako eh and malaking angkan yung pinanggalingan ko.
Where are you from?
Santiago City, Isabella! Lahat ng tao yata roon issue sa kanila itong ginagawa ko.
How so?
Ito na lang, just this May kinuha ako doong mag-Reyna Elena. Nakiusap sila sa daddy ko kaya pumayag ako. But andaming nag-react after I did it. Naging parang talk of the town ako. Merong sumusuporta sa akin, meron ding ayaw.

We hope this doesn’t feel much like work, though. We hear tapings like the one you just came from are insane.
Kanina galing kaming Tagaytay. We packed up at 2 a.m., I even got wet from the rain. I had to take a bath when I got home. I was able to sleep at 4 a.m. kasi pinatuyo ko pa yung hair ko. I woke up at 9 a.m.—that’s our call time for this shoot! I got here one hour late.

Payat kasi puyat. Ha ha! Nagka-carbs naman ako, pero hindi marami unlike before. Siguro kasi dati bata pa ako noon. Ngayon tumatanda na ako eh. Kung magkakalaman ako, hindi ako magmumukhang mature, which is kind of required sa show. Dun sa role ko kasi parang mas bagay na payat ako with Michael De Mesa kasi pag pinartner ako sa kanya, pag medyo may laman, magmumukha akong bagets.
